According to reports Manchester United are eyeing Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen.
The Daily Mirror reports that Gunners boss is weighing up the merits of selling the Belgian with United understood to be interested.
It is believed Wenger is keen to overhaul his squad and has not ruoled out the possibility of offloading his skipper.
Vermaelen lost his place towards the end of the season as Wenger preferred the pairing of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker in the centre of defence, a partnership that helped push the Gunners land a Champions League qualification spot.
The Mirror claims Vermaelen wants to remain at Arsenal and win back his place in the team.
